Blogging 2!!!!!!

Well so much for getting into blogging again, what a big slacker I am. SO FRUSTRATING! I get so busy in my life with everything I have a hard time to actually sit and type it all out. Since my last post I have been going to my friends to homeschool, so she can help me with a curriculum for liz, we decided to tap a maple tree and getting ready to boil it down into syrup, and so much more I cant think straight. I have been trying to scrapbook every Friday at Nicki's house which for some reason is even harder to do even if you put it on a schedule. Life needs to slow down a bit.

Blogging!!!

I really need to get into blogging, for a number of reasons. I really look back on the ones that I have posted and think wow I really enjoyed blogging when I did. I also think when I read someone elses blog how I really need to be doing this. I had started blogging just because I was homeschooling and I could keep track of some of the things we did in home-school. I don't think I have posted on home-schooling event yet. I think I will go back and post some of those project. So much has happened in the last year that i havent posted it isn't even funny.

Going to Niagra Falls

My Smart Hands had decided to have a conference meeting in Buffalo New york. I had decided I was going to drive down instead of flying to save some money. Well the night before I was heading out my mom called me and told me she was going with me. I was actually excite, my mom and I had not spent any amount of time together since she had met her husband. So we drove 13 hours down. The visability wasn't always the greatest on the way down. My mom was driving 65 miles a hour in this. I was ready to hide under the seat. I was able to meet the one mom and daughter that made me decide to do ASL with my babies. Laura Burg the founder of My Smart Hands and her daughter Fireese. My mom and I decided we came al this way to and so close to Niagara Falls that we was not going home with out seeing it with our very own eyes.
It sure was a beautiful site even if it was dark and raining.

On the way homw we stopped and had supper with my aunt Mary and her husband. It was a wonderful weekend to spend with my mom.

Making Caramel Apples With the Family

Nicki had invited me to her church to make caramel apples. It was a nice night to meet new people and talk with ones that I already knew. While there I discovered how easy it was to make caramel apple and I had decided then that I wanted to do this for family day. Sooooo off to the store i went to buy caramel, apples, chocolate chips and candies to make them. I have had a hard time getting my oldest son zach involved in family day. I guess I just need to incorperate food more often.

Santika had fun dipping her apple!

Tyoaka had fun decorating!

While the whole family couldn't wait to sink their teeth in.It was one family day that will be share and be remembered for many years to come. With all the thanks to Nicki and her church that allowed me to be part of their night.

Fryburg Fair 09'

My mom gave me the money to
take the kids to the Fryburg Fair
this year. I hadn't been to that fair
in about 4 years. Miss Tyoaka and
Santika had never been to one.
What a blast they had!

Tyoaka loved the carousal horses.

Santika was a too short to go on all the
rides but a did manage to get her on a few!

My niece Amber wanted to take Tyoaka on the fun house. She had to help her through the whole thing. At the end Sarah had to go rescue Tyoaka because she got stuck in the balls at the end. I didn't get a picture of that. Darn!

E.J. even took the babies on rides.
I had a lot of help!

I knew it was time to go home
when I was seeing faces like this.
She got upset because she couldn't
go on the rides that Tyoaka was going on.

School in September 1823 (Norlands)

We took our girlscouts on a trip to Norlands to check out the 1823 school. The girls learned a little about life in that time. How boys and girls went to school. What kind of manners children had back then. Some new words and their meanings, Like lad meaning boy, britches meaning pants, outhouse meaning outdoor bathroom just to name a few. Some of the other things they was taught was that only unmarried women could be teachers. That at lunch a young lad would go and get water. Students of all ages went in the same classroom. Boys on one side girls on the other. Each group of girls had an assignment and had to get up in front of the whole class and recite their assingment.
In this picture is Tristan, Liz , Teagon, and Becky reciting their assingment.
